There was a mirror there.

Caution, mom post coming your way.

My main goal with this blog is to cover a wide spectrum of topics and not flood you with mom talk. But it's going to be hard because once you being a mom, you are ready to talk about bedtime routines, temper tantrums, and poop!ha!

Anyways...
Do you ever see people in the grocery store that look so haggard, you wonder if they are still drunk from the night before? Well let me tell you... they aren't drunk. That's me! I mean really, there isn't much difference between a new-ish  mom and a party girl. I mean think about it... they both have messy hair, smeared mascara, starving, can't remember where their phone is, etc.
There are literally days that I get up, run errands, get home, and realize  "Oh crap, my messy bun is crooked, my mascara is running, and I have spit up on my sleeve".
I am legitimately proud of my self if I do my makeup before I leave the house. I say that because 99% of the  time I am throwing make up on in the car.
The other day we got family pictures and I did my make up in the car. I mean seriously, I remember the days where pictures meant a good hour or two of getting ready.
Now when I see the haggard lady at the store, I let her go ahead of me in line. Because I know she must be a mom.

30 something already

Thinking back on the years we spent wanting to be an "adult". I mean seriously, what was wrong with us? And the sad part is that every 15 year old still wants to grow up, no matter how many 30 somethings tell them "don't rush it".
Get a car, get a job, get a dramatic "love". That's what all the cool kids were doing. Oh man, if only we knew how "fun" this getting old thing truly is.
Don't get me wrong, I am loving life and having a great time. But 15 wasn't so bad was it? 15 for me looked like sports, sporting events, weekend sleepovers, homework, late night phone calls with the boyfriend (you know, on those old ancient cord house phones?). And also, occasionally getting into trouble.

Anyways, just a few thoughts as I start this new blog. This will be my third blog, and I am hoping the "winner". In the past I have really tried to stay on a certain topic, or be a general read for "everyone". Eh.. That's definitely not the goal anymore. If you don't like what you read, I wont shed a tear. I can't please everyone and by trying to do so, I just haven't blogged. Well this "working/stay at home mom" likes to write, has a lot to say, and wants to blog!

I hope to get some laughs, give some advice, and gain some growth!

Here's to being 30 something (27 1/2 to be exact) and proving that our best years have yet to come!
